LOCATION

LOCATION // Situated in Parracheira, one and a half hours drive north of Lisbon airport. Villa Nour sits on a large private piece of land, that has been handed down through our family’s great-grandparents. Sitting within a hamlet, boasting the most idyllic isolated, and quiet surroundings, with old olive trees and barn ruins dating back to 1885, you experience a calm and tranquil holiday.

Villa Nour is located in a hamlet called Parracheira, between Leiria and Fátima, a major pilgrimage centre for the Roman Catholic Portuguese.

HOW TO GET THERE

LISBON AIRPORT / PORTO AIRPORT

from the Lisbon airport is effortless from Parracheira. You can expect hardly any traffic from and to the airport.

Good service stations along the way serve quite good quality meals. From Villa Nour to the Lisbon airport it’s 1hr30 min (87 miles).

Traveling from Porto is about a 2-and-a-half-hour journey, approximately 122 miles away.

You will be crossing the entire city as the airport is located north of Porto and our Villa is towards Lisbon.

Villa Nour se trouve sur un grand terrain privé, qui a été transmis par les arrière-grands-parents de mon mari. Assis dans un hameau, bénéficiant de l'environnement le plus idyllique isolé et calme, avec une variété de vieux oliviers et les ruines d’une grange datant d'Août 1885 (on y voit la date sur l’un des murs), vous pourrez y vivre des vacances calmes et tranquilles. La Villa est située entre Leiria qui est l'une des principales villes de la côte d'argent du Portugal, et Fátima, un célèbre centre de pèlerinage pour les Catholiques.

COMMENT Y ARRIVER

Aéroport de Lisbonne / Aéroport de Porto

L'accès depuis l'aéroport de Lisbonne est très facile et vous pouvez vous attendre à peu de trafic depuis et vers l'aéroport. Il y a de bonnes stations-service le long du chemin qui servent des plats traditionnels savoureux et d'assez bonne qualité. Le trajet de la Villa Nour à l'aéroport de Lisbonne, est d’environ 1h30 min.

Notez qu'il est également possible de venir en choisissant l'aéroport de Porto, qui est à environ 200Km c’est-à-dire, environ 2h e demi de voyage. Le voyage est un peu plus long et il vous faudra traverser tout la ville pour vous diriger very le Sud, prendre la A1 en direction de Lisbonne.

Living Room

The main upper floor holds a modern-contemporary feel with beautiful pieces of artwork scattered throughout the large living room and kitchen areas which both share a very tall cathedral-style ceiling, with timber beams and a large outer balcony area. You have two large patio doors that can be fully opened to soak up the views from the overlooking forest that sits behind and offers a charming view to soak up some sun or read a book.

It’s also large enough to have the breakfast table and enjoy eating outside.

Kitchen

We have a fully equipped kitchen for you, to be used at your disposal. Double oven, fridge, freezer, gas and induction cooker, kettle, expresso maker, toaster, sandwich maker, waffle maker, and air fryer. Essentials such as olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar a full range of teabags including English breakfast / black tea, a range of herbal teabags including chamomile tea, a full range of spices such as cumin, turmeric, paprika, black cloves, green cardamon pods, chili, pasta, and many others that you are welcome to use. In then garden areas, next to the house entrance and by the main gate, you can find fresh herbs such as thyme, rosemary, mint, oregano, and chives.

Fireplace

We don’t expect you to use the fireplace in summer and hope you will have some hot weather to enjoy a dip in the pool. However, everything is provided, in terms of smaller branches, white fire starter, and large burning logs enough for 2-3 fires, in case of cold nights.

Air Conditioning

Every room is fitted with air conditioners to make your stay more comfortable, with heating and cooling modes ( press the mode button to select between heat or cool) to use at your convenience, which provides a cooler house temperature for some relief during the hot summer months, alternatively, you could dive into the pool!

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have hairdryers, toilet roll, 6 towels. Top-floor ensuite bathrooms have complimentary shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, ready to use.

Spare room upstairs

A spacious room on the ground floor has a single bed, a desk for workspace, and a steam iron area with the ironing board available by the vacuum cleaner inside the front entrance wardrobe.

Utility/machines room

Clothes washing machine with fabric detergent, fabric conditioner, bleach, and stain remover provided. There is also a drying rack to dry clothes, which can be placed outside in the sun or inside.

There is a large area both inside the property and outside, for car parking.

The two ensuite double bedrooms and a games room with a ping pong table are on the lower ground floor.

On the lower level, the villa has two ensuite double bedrooms (one with a shower and the other with a bathtub), and both have direct access to the pool.

The lower living room area has a kitchenette, a small eating table, and a ping pong table which can also be taken outside to play under the shade in front of the garage. The pool is built with direct access from the lower level’s living area. It also has its own shower and toilet area for your convenience.

À l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur de la propriété, il y a amplement d’espace pour le stationnement des voitures. La maison dispose d'un système chauffage au sol qui peut aussi fournir pendant l’été une surface de sol plus fraîche et une température dans la maison plus fraîche pour un peu plus de confort pendant les chauds mois d'été. Le meilleur rafraîchissement est de plonger dans la piscine !

Au rez-de-chaussée inférieur, où l’air ambient est plus frais pendant l’été, la villa dispose de deux chambres avec double lit et salle de bains ainsi que d’une salle spacieuse qui comporte une table de ping-pong, un large écran LED pour jouer aux jeux vidéo et une Kitchenette.

Vous pourrez accéder à la piscine aussi bien en passant par la salle, mais aussi en sortant directement par les grandes fenêtres de chaque chambre. La piscine dispose de sa propre douche et toilettes pour votre commodité.

L'étage supérieur principal abrite un grand salon et une cuisine moderne qui partagent tous deux un haut plafond construit sur une haute et imposante charpente en bois, avec des poutres en bois, ainsi qu'un grand balcon extérieur qui longe toute la façade arrière de la villa. Vous avez deux grandes portes-fenêtres qui peuvent être ouvertes afin de profiter de la vue des pinèdes que la villa surplomb et qui se trouve derrière et offre une vue charmante pendant que l’on prend le petit déjeuner, ou simplement profiter du soleil et lire un livre. Le balcon est suffisamment large pour y installer la table du petit déjeuner et profiter de manger à l'extérieur.

Cuisine: La cuisine est très bien approvisionnée avec une variété d'épices, d'herbes, avec du thym, romarin, menthe origan et ciboulette située dans le jardin à l’entrée de la villa. Il y a aussi des pâtes, du riz, de l'huile d'olive que vous êtes invités à utiliser.

Il y a une machine à laver les vêtements, avec détergent à laver et adoucissant disponibles. Il y a une aire de séchage annexe à la cuisine.
